Previous notes still apply. I love this wine from a winery I had not previously heard of.

This is a really good Zinfandel. Textbook, in fact. The purest black raspberry fruit, accentuated with a bit of spice and crushed stone on the nose. Full and concentrated on the palate, but avoids any jamminess and has great acids and just enough tannin to frame the full flavors. Every thing as it should be, and great with our pizzas! I’d never heard of this winery before. I guess I’ve been missing out.

Huge, candied nose with strawberry, fruit roll ups, and grape bubblegum. With a little air, some smoke, pepper, and iron emerge. Full and fruity on the palate, but not overly jammy. Some black tea and pepper notes in there as well. Great acid and a kiss of smooth tannin dries it out.

Really delicious, complex, well made wine.
