A wine being hawked by a big box wine store. Not sure why “Reserve” is put on a $13 wine?? Aromas of berry and smoky spicy. Cherry and tart plum flavors with sharp pepper spice and herbal notes. Rugged tannins makes it difficult to enjoy. Needs a big food dish. Past it’s prime. Tasting Sample. Consistent notes from the ‘17 I also tasted.

It's okay. Flavors are good (plum, jam) and it's not metallic. But it is thin. Can imagine a bottle over dinner would be great, but for solo consumption...only in a pinch. (A good problem to have.)

Had with Italian. Light bodied. Not overly acidic. Good but unremarkable.

Oaky aroma- delightful! Dry taste all the way through, but only the slightest of tannins, which is a pleasant surprise for a dry red at this price point. Mild to moderate acid. A great wine for spring and summer.
