2014. A lean expression of Cali fruit with an Austrian accent. Herb, spice, light on its feet. Solid.

The nose on this is completely on point. Fresh raspberry & floral aromatics with just a hint of smoke. The palate is quite high toned with a brisk, tart cranberry note resonating throughout. The acidity is palpable and tense. A fantastic summertime red.

My choice for Independence Day is something which shows the true spirit of Independence in American wine. This is the second example of an excellent St Laurent from Ricci that I've had. High toned, cranberry which picks up depth as it breathes. @Michael Cruse represents independence beautifully.

Very pretty color. Better warm than cold. First taste is bitter, later tastes are fruity.

Starting out with a whole lot of funk, this wine turns into a low tannin stone fruit and partially tart blackberry fun time, with light spice. According to my cat the cork is fun to play with.
