FANTASTIC PAUL HOBBS!!!!! 2014 CrossBarn cabernet sauvignon from Sonoma. Pouring with my AERVANA the result is fast and beautiful decanting! The bouquet is still a bit acidic unlike it is with a hour of decanting in a good decanter. Nevertheless, there are hints of lavender and rose. The initial palate is blackberry, dark current, cherry, and red licorice. Then comes the spice. It almost turns my tongue red. Definite burn imon the upper palate and throat. But its not overpowering. The mid palate is fades in. The amazing oak and vanilla and chocolate. The finish is also everything I love. Clean, big bold, dry finish. Leaving a sweet cherry after taste. How perfect is this???? Dang! Im buying me a case. YES, I know many of you think this guy is a nut ball giving all his wines a perfect 10! Well, I dont give them all a ten. I do give a perfect score if I want to be sure to repurchase it vs another wine that may be on my list. This will always taste this good . The quality control will be checked by me over the following three months. However, after the second day in the bottle, I had to pour it out.
