Thanksgiving wine number one. Very fun blend from the C&S team. 80/20 malbec/cab. Aromatics of rhubarb pie, sandalwood, violets and dark cocoa dusted red fruits. Undeniably Malbec in taste with licorice, tart and tangy blackberries and cherry cordial, but it’s not as dense or one dimensional. There is lift and structure as you’d expect from the Cabernet. Plush and soft on the palate with an expected semi tannic, tart finish. Better on day 2.
