It’s a 2022 that was released in March this year. Only 838 cases were made and the grapes came from their Balnarring and Main Ridge vineyards in VIC’s Mornington Peninsula.
Wild yeast was used and it spent 9 months in 2-3 year old French oak barrels to retain varietal character. Malo occurred naturally.
Juicy plum colour on the eye. On the nose it’s a bit floral, has a bit of red berry fruits and a bit of earthiness. In the mouth it’s juicy and fresh yet has these lovely underlying tannins giving oomph and body. I really enjoyed it!
