This wine was a PNP, supposedly is 90% petite sirah and 10% syrah. The color is a deep dark purple that is clear. The nose was very tight and closed up initially. After sitting in the glass for around an hour it started with hints of grass. Then really began to open up with hints of black currant, hard sweet candy, and some vegetal notes that with iron like spinach. Within the palate there are some moderate rounded tannins, which lead to moderate and smooth finish. Additionally the tannins began to increase and open up with time. As for taste, it has a very fruity start that of black cherry. Overall I was impressed with this petite sirah. We were trying this out to see about its QPR. So I bought this bottle for $21.00 at a small wine shop near me just to try it out. The QPR is amazing on this wine, especially if you look at wine-searcher it goes for $9.98!

Dense purple in the glass. Massive structure with dense blue and black fruit flavor. Spice hints on the finish. Outstanding value here at under $15 per bottle.

Intriguing winery story. Smooth, peppery, subtle tannins.

Fruit forward on the nose with higher tannins and high viscosity but not very high heat. Black currant and plum with tobacco.

A beautiful day baking bread and enjoying the company of those i love led to a wonderful dinner and this incredibly purple. I mean PURPLE wine. Nice viscosity smooth silky mouthfeel. Black fruit pepper and spinach greens to the nose. Ripe blackberry pepper to the front palate sliding into cedar cigar box and shoe leather ending in a nice long finish. Slightly heavy tannins nice acids. Lovely wine to end a lovely day.

Gigantic. Cooked fruit, jammy. Surprisingly low alcohol considering the ripeness. Needs a lot of air to be drinkable.
