Le Sol Gimblett Gravels Syrah
Beautiful fruit. Rich and concentrated. Drank the 2009 in 2017 and showing no signs of age. Yum.

Jan 17th, 2015Wonderfully elegant and understated nose that has some fantastically pure blackcurrant & cassis fruit. Some tightly wound spice and light graphite notes, great but still incredibly tight. Über! Creamy tannins and expressive, ripe black fruit but with an enrapturing and fresh acidity, great but still a pup.

Sep 11th, 2014Less ripe than the high-scoring vintage. This is dark, brooding, and very concentrated.

Aug 20th, 2013Very different NZ Shiraz to big heavy Aussie Shiraz. Could use a few more years in the bottle to get a better rating. 3/6/9.5 = 18.5 - score 94 out of 100.
