Apr 1st, 2015This is the 2011 Cowhorn Viognier. Fantastic wine. Nose is strong with sweet apple, white pepper, pineapple, and a sweet talcky minerality. Palate is medium + body with a bright acidity and very long finish. Palate has a richness enveloping the Meyer lemon, nutmeg, fresh turmeric root, apricot, and an enticing petrol quality. Excellent wine.

Great viognier for the price point. Just $25. Good flavors fruit forward. Medium finish. Nice and light. Just over light body. Crisp and clean. Not as oily or long finish as others.
