Nose of white floral, ripe stone fruit, stones and golden straw. Lemony on the palette, nice acidity slimming the round fruity notes. Quick finish. Good with smoked turkey.
In a blind tasting, I would never guess mevushal (thank you, flash detente). No cooked notes, but the texture has some vagueness, and some character notes stripped from the palette. Best mevushal wine I have had, and Roussanne is one of my favorite varietals. Repurchase for sure.
So far, thumbs up to the Mensch Zinfandel and Roussanne. Good job!
