Covenant Wines
Covenant Israel Blue C Adom Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, black currants, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, vegetables, graphite, chocolates, dark coffee, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, licorice, vanilla, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth, black tea, vegetables and graphite.
Medium finish with grippy tannins and spices.
A nice, spicy red blend from Israel. Showing a soft mouthfeel with nice tannins. Still young and a bit unbalanced, but that will change in a couple of years. Drinking nicely now, nonetheless.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (30 minutes).
A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French oak barrels (10% new) for 16 months.
Kosher.
Thank you, Barry and Kim, for sharing.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
