Sonoma Coast Syrah

Lovely north coast syrah. Grippy,minerals & slight pepper nuances, tannins evident but not overly so. Balanced flavors. Loved this well made syrah. From Radio-Coteau vintner.

White and black pepper. A touch of red fruit. Chewy green stem tannins. Lacking in mouth feel on the mid palate. Great example of cool climate Syrah. Punching over its price point. Excellent food wine.

Really tart and hard to enjoy - at first I thought maybe it was one of those "natural" wines it was so funky

Standard Syrah

Possibly the only Syrah I’ve ever liked from the US and not Australia. Year = 2015. Fuller body but very tasty!

2014 in 2017. Tart enough that I didn't think it was a Syrah. Easy to drink but not satisfying

Decent and fruity but short on the deep rich and funky nose that Syrah can have. Also has limited acid to cut food the strong flavors of Mexican and Italian food. Might be better as a drink alone.

A bar setter. Sips turning into gulps.

Solid!

A pretty balance of plums and pepper, with plenty of acidity, a bit of tannin, and broad pairing potential.
