Very pretty ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose of currants, plums, blueberries, earth, vegetables, graphite, spices, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, oak, smoke, tobacco leaf, spices, peppercorn and chocolates.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice California Red. Not fully balanced, but has some complexity. Not a typical Cab Franc, as it didn't show much of the bell pepper I usually find. Showing a soft and gentle mouthfeel.

I paired it with a spinach and basil flat bread.

100% Cabernet Franc grapes from Lodi, California were aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels for 20 months.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Not bad. Softer than a classic cab franc. Fruit forward and needs to open up. 14.99 at smyrna beverage warehouse

Medium bodied red with hints of red fruit. A very good wine for price. Tastes like a wine at least $10-15 higher in price.

A little bit of a “lightweight” for Cab Franc.
