Clear garnet in color. Shy nose of black cherry and black tea. Matching dark fruit palate is medium-bodied with medium tannins: high for a bottle at this price point. A really nice Willamette with a semi-Burgundian ethos at a bargain price. If you haven’t taken the plunge into America’s “go to” region for the Black Pinot, this is a worthy entry point. Enjoy with a wide variety of foods, including (as I am) the classic salmon.

Pretty nice Oregon Pinot Noir. Slightly lacking in the olfactory department, with a nose of mulled berries and cloves, and raspberry with spice and earth undertones. Definitely benefits from a very slight chill.

Very Burgundian in style for a $17 bottle. Bright cherry, wild flowers, clove, and a touch of tobacco on the nose and velvety smooth soft fruit and baking spices on the palate along with some earthy mushroom-ness. Great acidity, awesome daily drinker.

A little bit rough around the edges for a Pinot.
