See , this is what even another year of age can do to this wine. Whereas the 2011 Napa Cab fell short, the 2010 finished nicely on the palate and had a nice roundness and symmetry to it.

Black currant, smoky blueberries, cassis, and mint. Cornerstone Cellars 2012 Michael's Cuvée doesn't disappoint. It's opulent, with palate-drenching blackberries and blueberries, lovely purity of fruit with seductively sueded tannins. A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot, this cuvée was assembled from the historic Oakville Station Vineyard (read that as To Kalon) 57%, 28% Kairos Vineyard, and 9% Ink Grade Vineyard on Howell Mountain. For the money, it's exceptional. 14.9% ABV | Sample

Dark cherry, smooth, cherry cola, leather, spicy, peppery, pretty wine. Really goes well with the Italian food. A favorite 2011 #Napa. @Cornerstone Cellars

This wine is dark and delicious. Opaque and deep burgundy, the nose brings an elegant package of cassis, graphite and smoke. The flavors are juicy and ripe, with blackberry and currant serving as a framework for the great oak effect. There are spices galore - cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, anise, sage and even a hint of bell pepper. It's not a vegetal wine by a long shot, though. The richness and depth of the aromas and flavors are what I expect from a first-class Napa Valley Cab.

Some years in the bottle in the cellar will probably do it some good. Beautiful nose and the initial sip was quite nice but then it just fell off of a cliff with a very short finish. The 2010s we tasted afterwards shows what this probably should be. We'll see...

Big ripe CA nose. Loads of berries and dust. Nice concentration and only a skoche of heat at 14.3 but it's there. Good balance. Not my style but well made.
