When we had this with Andrew, I remembered it was better. I had high expectations. Nonetheless, it has nice aromas of eucalyptus, anise and cassis with blackberry and dark chocolate. Finish was a bit hot with firm lingering tannins.

Best wine of the night! Great structure, wonderful balanced and great fruit coming through. On only got better as it opened up. Believe Kendall Mix was the winemaker and has since moved on, but group of 10 agreed this was the winner

A right bank blend with red/black fruits. Lengthy tannins but a bit too much oak influence for my personal taste. Might show real promise in 5-10 more years.

A very distinct fresh earth with an array of fine herbs dark spices and dark coco with currant and dark cherry fruit tobacco spice, very complex bouquet of aromas. Wonderful balance and depth of flavors with layers of spice and zesty minerality on the finish. Finish 45+ most excellent + 2008 cordless blend very similar bouquet with notes of fine earth distinct minerality truffle, dark spices complimenting the dark plum and cherry fruit a very smooth and elegant most excellent
