There isn't much competition, but this may be California's finest Gewürztraminer. Had it with butternut squash and carrot soup - perfect pairing.

It was really cool to try this vintage. Just had the 2010 recently (way more characteristic of gewurtz) and this was totally different. Way more minerality and almost a Riesling-like petrol quality.

Very nice example, lovely nose, good acidity and a slight sweetness which doesn't disturb the freshness. Goes great with spicy thai curry.
