Third tasting, last bottle of vintage. No Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend. Purple-red in color, highly extracted, too inky to assess clarity. Butter and baked red fruit notes in nose with a hint of pickles or sweaty socks. Cherry, black currant and white pepper flavors, moderate medium-weight chewy tannins, bitterness with length, increasing skin astringency over time. Needs lots of time to open. Much different impression vs previous tasting - a function of aeration, bottle variation (or drinker variation), or more than one blend made at the winery? Good value for a basic table wine but not sure what was going on here

No Cabernet Sauvignon in this vintage; 42% Petit Verdot, 30% Merlot, 22% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc. One year on from previous tasting. Dense red, good clarity. Cherry, a hint of cassis, overripe red berry, musty tobacco plus white pepper notes in nose. Sour cherry and plum, strawberry and maybe black currant flavors, rounded mouthfeel, minimal tannin expression initially, mild seed tannin bitterness and moderate astringency emerges gradually. Slightly hot finish. Good value, easy drinking fruit forward red blend. Needs at least two hours decanting.

42% Petit Verdot blend. Dense red in color. Cherry and herbal notes in nose. Floral and cherry notes in mouth, berry cherry water and green pepper aftertaste, good seed bitterness throughout. Solid table wine, though on hot side for some

Meh. Disappointing. Not bad, but disappointing. Could be the context and others I've tasted this eve.

Opens well. A good blend as would be expected. Definitely buying another.

Very easy and big but not hugely complex and a bit sweet for me

A bottle to drown our sorrows in after dropping off our firstborn at college. Good.
