Copain’s 2013 Syrah Tous Ensemble is fabulous. Inky dark blue/purplish fruit, smoke, licorice, lavender and grilled herbs jump from the glass in a lifted, juicy Mendocino Syrah to drink over the next few years. (AG)

Clearly much less filtered than previous vintages. Same dark, but balanced, fruit with lots of spice, meatiness and floral expression.

Apr 24th, 2016Cassis and dark dusty fruit in the nose. Restrained on the palate, something like just underripe plum. A very enjoyable, understated Mendocino Syrah where many members of the class are happy to blow out your sinus.
