My first foray into Copain Wines. This will go very well with our salmon fillet dinner.

Looking red hot with 8 years in bottle. Soft but strength through depth.

Pretty stellar effort from a tough vintage. No mold. Try the trousseau tomorrow

Just beginning to develop secondary aromas and flavors. Bright cherry, flinty minerality, chewy tannins. Impressive.

The palate brings forth sour raspberry and cherry fruit, a touch of vanilla, balanced tannin and acidity. Lingering finish, nice mouthfeel; a joy to drink. I recently had their Chard and One BIG Negative, for both wines, that the wine is sold with its cork exposed, no foil or wax protecting the cork! The 2014 didn’t spend much time on the wine shelf, however if wine sits and cork gets dirty it can contaminate the wine will be bad when opened. For that reason I will not buy Copain until cork is protected.
