I open one of these every year or so. I was hoping that the black and red plum fruit forward nature of this Santa Cruz Mountain Cab would calm down and new layers emerge after 9 years in the bottle -no hope there- it's the same fruit bomb. Come back next decade.

Light tannin, with a lot of bright acidity. Nice bit of dark cherry, subtle tobacco and spice. Phenomenal!

we timed this opening well... the fruit and structure are spot on...I'm so happy, this was a gift and I can't wait to thank my friends for giving us this.
