2008 Vintage. 100% Nebbiolo. Szforzato style, so kind of like Amarone. Note the 15.5% abv. Earthy, but not too much so. Nose has a bit of raisin, but not too sweet.

Perfectly ready to drink and enjoy, and I am:)! Pairing with a Sicilian styled calamari @ Il Palio, in Chapel Hill, NC. Beautiful antique-esque nose with lots of red fruit on first blush properly cut with well-worn tannins, acidity, etc. lingering into a long unctuous finish. Good stuff! Go for it..:)!
