The aromatic profile is immediately inviting with ripe red cherries, red plum, strawberry, violets, leather, licorice, and hint of tobacco. Medium to full body. The palate is darker and more brooding than the nose suggests, but acidity provides a refreshing backbone. Tannins are fine-grained but need time to integrate.

Vermiglio is slotted between the entry level rosso and the BdM. 4000 bottles produced for 2019.
