Beautiful brick red rim. Nose of leather, leather and cedar. Wow. Somewhat lacking in fruit but this is beautiful for all of the secondary notes. Dry tannins, shorter finish but absolutely delicious. My second nature barolo and experience was a small life lesson what age can do for this wine.

Very nice wine. Floral, berries and a bit of tar on the nose or as Barb says licorice. Taste is well integrated with nice berries. Good long finish with a bit of an acid kick and some tannins still around. Overall getting us ready for our trip to Italy.
