Clear, dark ruby. Light nose, notes of black berry. Low to moderate tannin with medium finish and good balance. Needs time to breathe.

Easy to drink, feels light. Not really suitable to drink with food but drinkable on a terrace in summer time.

Casillero del Diablo was one of my go to budget wines when I was in Chile and it's good to see it in Australia. Under screw cap and labeled as Shiraz to make things easy for us. Keep in mind this is a cool climate style despite being labeled Shiraz. Obviously the price is higher than it was in Chile but still great value.
