This may be one of the most difficult wines to rate ever. I am not sure what James Suckling was tasting to have rated it a 90 but to each his own. After quite some time decanting, it’s finally starting to show more of its true character I think as initially right out of the bottle, I was ready to pour it down the sink! There are some very vegetable flavors but especially on the finish which is actually peppery. One review mentioned jalapeños and I thought “ yeah, right” but it is definitely there at the end. It’s really disconcerting enough that I don’t intend to buy this wine again at any price. Some folks mentioned it being an everyday drink but that must be an acquired taste.

Gorgeous deep red color. Legs leave something to be desired but I'm not upset about it. Right on the nose, hints of cherry and maybe strawberry. Lush flavor, fruit forward with hints of chocolate.
