Marqués de Casa Concha Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon

A nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with earth notes and chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Good right out of the bottle and earthier as it opens up.

Will be better in a couple of years.

Best red thus far on this trip.

Deep ruby in color. Blackberry, black cherry, poblano, vanilla, baking spice, smoke, black pepper, and wet earth on the nose. Plum skins, green bell pepper, black pepper and tar on the palate. Medium acidity and smooth tannins bordering on silky (I may have over decanted).
Brief vanilla followed by a lingering bitter cocoa on the finish.

Solid number. A lot better after a bit of airing

Good at 300MXN from Chedraui.

Goût trop prononcé pour moi.
Mais il reste agréable pour un verre ou deux.

Very floral. Dry start and Berry aftertaste

Too sour not to my taste

Although young, this cab goes down smoothly. Picked it over Pinot and Malbec for my local fish entree.
