Rita Ferreira of Conceito is easily one of the best winemakers in Portugal. Even her entry level Douro red is bursting with freshness, so floral and savory and bright, yet truly a meaty, robust, properly "Douro" wine. So glad to finally be able to find her stuff in the NY market.

Good wine at a good price. PA state store made it hard to find.

Lean but well realized red blend.

V13. Big full bodied wine, started bitter and young , but after an hour settled some what to rich dark black berry fruit with a dry finish and tight tannins. Can spend more time in the bottle.

Rich, but subtle. Floral & Spicy nose, bold tannins, meaty mouthfeel, good balance, but a bit simple and inexpressive.
