We've had better merlots. But it's ok. Fruity just like it was described. Paired with fillet, asparagus and baked potato with mushrooms and onions in garlic, truffle, parsley and rosemary Amish salted butter.

Merlot is not my "go to" wine but this particular Merlot is very good and pair excellent with food. I "sat" on this wine for 10 years and I don't think 2006 vintage is available but I will definitely look for available years.
