Meursault-Blagny is a small Premier Cru area on the border with Puligny. This wine is a delight - even young it is showing a bit of Meursault struck match and flint along with lemon drop, plus the usual apple, pear, lemon and wet stone. The limited oak is very well managed, the acidity is bright and the finish is long and caressing. Really classy white Burgundy

Ein wunderbarer Burgunder. In der Nase geschmorter Apfel, Bratbirne, Limettenschale, und einen leichten Hauch von weissen Blüten. Am Gaumen saftig, sanfter Holzeinsatz aber nicht so mächtig wie sonstige Meursaults, jedoch auch nicht so mineralisch wie die Puligny‘s aus dem angrenzenden Gebiet. Angenehme Feuerstein-Mineralik und leichte Salzigkeit. Ein Genuss zum servierten Steinbutt mit Spitzmorchel und Frühlingserbse. Säure: Medium, Alkohol: Medium +

Pear, oak, butter, vanilla, vegetable, saline, many shades develop during the tasting. Modern approach, not very interventionist, great savoir-faire Superb!
Poire, chêne, beurre, vanille, végétal, salin, beaucoup de nuances se développent au cours de la dégustation. Abord moderne, peu interventionniste, grand savoir faire. Superbe!

Interesting wine. Definitely not Meursault-like, blind I would have went chassagne. I might be a bit low on the rating, often I need a couple of tries on wines like this that taste different than expectation of location. At Hestia

intense minerality on the nose gives way to beautifully focused buttery onion stones... cool wet rock all throughout the finish- but padded with cream. yum.
