Lidl Champagne. Bought with a massive discount for about 7 USD in equivalent currency. Cheapest champagne I have ever bought. Well it's not the best one I have ever tried, pretty far from it, actually. We had it along with raclette. We invited our Polish in-law family to indulge in this molten cheese madness and they didn't mind it, it seems. Green apple, lemon, a bit of a yeasty note, but very discreet. The palate is acid driven, the bubbles are not very subtle, lemony and appley notes pop up all along and the finish is fresh and thin. It's a standard sparkling wine with little interest but well done.

Drank New Year's day 2015. Straw colour, fruity aromas, extremely balanced apple flavour. Quite nice champagne.
