Comte de Noiron
Coeur de Cuvée Reims Champagne
Not a bad drink for evening - fresh and fruity, golden color.

Jun 3rd, 2017I admit it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was too busy sipping on #Champagne last night to ask you what you were drinking for #WineWednesday 🤷♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yep I was getting stuck into this #sample care of Australian distributor Kollaras from Champagne house Comte de Noiron. This NV Brut retails at a wallet friendly $40 approximately.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the glass it’s a lemon shade with small sand like bubbles. On the nose it’s a wonderful mixture of just cooked biscuits 🍪, fresh flowers 💐 and zingy citrus. In the mouth it’s crisp, fresh and citrus driven. The perfect accompaniment for a bowl of French fries! I’m hella classy alright 😜

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine

Champagne! I think Bastille Day (French 🇫🇷 National Day) this coming Saturday (14th of July) is a darn good excuse to pop a bottle of Champas in the fridge 🍾
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And yes, you can only call bubbles ‘Champagne’ if it comes from the Champagne region just out of Paris in France.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To celebrate #BastilleDay I’ve teamed up with Kollaras to try some of the French range they distribute. This #sample of Comte de Noiron 2011 is from the 5th largest producer of Champagne. It is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and is hand picked from 5 hectares of single vineyard in the village of Cezanne and 50 hectares in the village of Broyes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📝 My tasting note: it’s a golden sand colour in the glass with plentiful bubbles. Honeyed fruits, butter on toast and crisp citrus come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s smooth, elegant and fresh. Highly enjoyable with a platter of goodies 🥖🧀
