A few fun bottles from last Friday.
I got to taste through the Component lineup with the owner a few months back, and enjoyed each wine, as well as the unique idea behind Component’s approach to how they make wine. On its own, this is a solid semillon and varietally correct, though I’m not there on the price tag. Herbal and floral on the nose with a lush and rounded profile showing notes of lemon oil, grapefruit, sea salt and dried mango. Not much acidity here.

Very interesting profile, in nose fruity and fresh aromas, lime peel and peaches. In mount i would say is rather dry and medium acidity. Wonderful to pair with ceviches and tuna tartare. This was an incredible wine! Cheers!

Attended a Component wine tasting with winemaker/ owner Michael Kennedy. Our team all loved the Semillon. Totally unique wine. Crisp, elegant and refreshing as a stand alone Semillon.

2018 in 7/21. O'Connell's FIRST white wine EVER during MCO visit w TJ. Clean, bright, fresh, citrus but with a soft quality. Made from the oldest organically farmed Semillon in CA. Ferm in concrete. Barely over 100 cs produced. 11%
