Another unexpected find in the cellar and, wow! Kudos to the late great David Lake. This has held up beautifully with lingering juicy dark fruit complimented by a basil note that I'm lovin. With a bit of time in the glass a pleasant thin blanket of soft silky tannins coats the palate. Again, wow.

Sep 27th, 2014This Cab is from the Oldest Cab Sauv planting in Washington state. Planted in 1952 near Grandview. It's not bad now but, unfortunately past its prime slightly. I feel this was most likely due to pH or TA adjustments to the fruit at the time of making. Plenty of fruit left and great aromatics but the palate is a bit muddled by age.
