The nose starts out promising with cherry and cheddar with a slight hint of brett. On the palate it starts fine with stewed prune, raisin, and dark cherry, but the finish disappoints with minimal tannins and acid. The wine just drops off from the middle on and finishes like weak grape juice.

May 25th, 2017This cab received a 90 rating by Wine Enthusiast, which makes me question their judgment. The wine is serviceable, but nothing to write home about and taste about what it costs. The nose is pleasant with hints of cherry, blackberry, and leather. On the palate it starts well with tart cherry and minerals, but it thins out in the middle and falls flat pretty quickly. It does have some tannin and acid for the finish, but by then you've pretty much lost interest in it. This is a lightweight cab that reflects its $14 price.
