Heavy handed on the oak. This wine drank like a baby instead of the 9 year old merlot it is. Blue fruit was there but the finish was disharmonious.

Dusky - more spicy than sweet, mellow and not sharp. A bit odd, but the flavor shifts about.

Very average. Not really remarkable in any way. Depending on occasion and price I might buy again.
