Grand Estates Columbia Valley Red Blend

Ruby red with medium plus intensity. Burnt herbs with some aniseed, tight dark berries, and some nutmeg on the nose. Dark berries, some herbs, a little sweet too and some heat. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Shortish finish. Good QPR for under $10.00. Drink now.

Ok but nothing great. Bought it because Wine Spectator gave it an 88 and called it an excellent value. I enjoyed it-good for a quick cheap buzz. I liked the aroma of fireplace smoke.

This is not a bad bottle. With the cost being under $10 you can't expect much. This would be a nice everyday wine. It's a bit tight but for the price it's worth it. I ran in through my Wine Breather and it definitely helped.
