supposedly a Gold Medal wine: ski trip to CO wanted to drink local, love PV but this was disappointing... way hot, probably 15% and not wearing it well, grippy tannins and some black & red fruit, bit one dimensional, maybe some florals. smooth broad fleshy on palate, tannins really prevalent leading to the hot, slightly astringent finish.

Rich and dark in color. Aroma notes of dark plum and currant. Flavors of dark cherry, blackberry and plum. Lovely to see, smell and taste!

Colterris is one of the great producers from the not amazing, but quaintly wonderful Palisade Colorado. Another great example of Petit Verdot single varietal that CO can make. The tannins are grippy, but the fruit balance actually made it drinkable w/o food. I love it.
