Colterenzio Schreckbichl
Altkirch Alto Adige - Südtirol Chardonnay
Bought by the glass to have with an entree of Octupus at Tartufo Ristorante. Served too cold unfortunately. A modern style of Chardonnay - quite lean with a light touch of Oak. It improved greatly as it warmed up in the glass being not as lean with less citrus and more fleshy stone fruit.

Jul 25th, 2017The 2015 Chardonnay Altkirch is a delicious, steely Chardonnay from Alto Adige with plenty of floral, citrus-driven notes. Drink it over the next year two, while the flavors remain fresh and vibrant. (AG)

Nov 24th, 2016aromas of white flowers, melon, peach, honey, fresh hay.
very nicely balanced, sweet, rich and floral, but clear and refreshing. flavors are subtle and well blended, buttered biscuit, sweet lime, stone, a tiny bit vegetal, hints of anise and cumin, very faint licorice. had this with some faintly smokey turkey sausage. yum.

The little ageing is good for the wine, a very nice well priced mountain Chardonnay
