Dan Murphy's & BWS recently sent me some 'indulgent winter❄️reds' for me to try to help me get through the cold months. If I had to choose between a fire 🔥 or heater and 🍷, I'd always go the latter! This 2016 Barossa Shiraz from Colonel & Merchant retails for a mere $10 at BWS and supposedly it goes well with cold meats 🍖 - perhaps a great accompaniment to charcuterie!
On the eye it's a red-y purple colour with a violet perfume that has hints of meatiness & liquorice in. It's juicy and has an oaked savouriness to it in the mouth with underlying black fruits and a big, full-bodied finish.
