Cascina Cottionano Coste della Sesia Rosso Nebbiolo Blend

Lovely purity of berry compote along with an underlying ferrous, rusty nail type iron mineral character. With time in the glass there’s also some very attractive almond paste or pie crust notes, dried cranberry and yoghurt covered raisins.
In the mouth it’s incredibly approachable with fine grained tannins that are very well interpreted into the red currant and cranberry fruit. It’s refreshing, approachable and very food friendly as the acidity seems to be perfectly ripe in this vintage. Don’t think I’ve tasted a better vintage of this in the past 5 years or so. As with most Italians, food will elevate this. 👌🏽

Great for a lighter wine than I usually drink.

Classic Nebbiolo. Awesome with risotto and a mushroom ravioli

Very good got from first box

Austere notes, and very pretty. Berries, violets, and some light spice notes. Fun wine.

Rose and red berry nose. Very juicy. White pepper.

Northern Nebbiolo. Young, bright, and loads of tannins. Dried flowers and herbs, cranberry, tart cherry, mineral, leather, wet bark.
