This wine takes me back in time to the mid-to-early 80s, when I drank a lot of Cali Chardonnay. Doesn’t skimp on the toasty, butterscotchy French oak, but it’s not over the top fruit-wise and has a bit of underlying minerality and decent acids. It should pair well with the herby braised chicken I’m making.

Superb effort here. Golden hued with an intoxicating nose of hazelnut and butterscotch. Luxurious palate does not disappoint. Quote on the label “you will do foolish things but do them with enthusiasm”. Amen. Cheers all!

Color of vivid and saturated gold. Nose is beautiful with bombardment of ripe fruits, nutty, oak, and indeed more Cedar wood. Taste is round and silky, with zesty tinkling mouth feel, mineral, citrusy sprite, ripe banana, a bit heavy on the alcohol content and bittersweet. Aftertaste is medium long, more ripe fruits. Very tasty with the nuance of too much bittersweetness.
