Colene Clemens wines are awesome. Predominantly clay, but with a little bit of volcanic rocks in for good spicy measure. This may be from the 2012 vintage - I prefer 2011 and 2013 for recent ones - this is pretty well done. I'd drink now, another 4 years couldn't hurt.

With this 2012 we are back to round, pretty nose. Great palate of slightly underripe raspberry. A little clove and all-spice. Dynamite mouthfeel. Acid levels are in check. Primary Pommard, 777 clones.

Highly fragrant, rich but not overdone. Beautiful mouthfeel and lively acidity. Deep blackberry fruit, violets, and baking spices throughout. Mouthwatering deliciousness!
