Aromas of earth, stalks and mushroom with dark savoury cherries in the background. Whole bunch fermentation? More savoury than fruit driven. Quite Burgundian in many respects. In the restrained elegant style with good length. 6 weeks later took a bottle to an average Thai BYO on the Gold Coast served in cheap glasses. In such conditions the wine never shows well when the food is not up to scratch.

2013 vintage. Light crimson in color. Cherry with some beetroot notes. Medium to lighter bodied. More elegant than full bodied. Good acid and great length.

Black cherries and plum fruits with savoury herbal thyme. The palate is that of a fuller bodied Pinot. The ripeness and body hailing the Lower Yarra Valley. Good stuff.

Succulent cherry and strawberry notes combine with a rich and funky palate, full of complex earthy, wet straw, smoky and dried meat flavours. The flavours are beautifully balanced and the wine has a generous, slightly creamy, mouthfeel. The tannins are supple and chocolaty, the finish long and lingering. Should be a show stopper with more cellar time. A captivating and deliciously moorish pinot.
