It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Strong nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, chocolates, black pepper, herbs and light spices.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, oak, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, black pepper, light earth, herbs and black tea.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain in Washington State. Rich and engaging. Elegant and complex.

Needs time to open up properly, so be patient. Fruit forward and spicy.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 95+ point wine.

Nicely balanced and good by itself as a sipping wine.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in all new French oak barrels for 20 months. A small production of less than 3,500 bottles.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$200.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak before bottling. Needing an hour in the decanter to be fully aroused, this opens with anise and dark licorice with mocha and shades of violets that all mingle aromatically. The palate shows a silky mouthfeel with velvety tannins that frame a massive core of dark fruit flavors with espresso bean and dark chocolate undertones. Gorgeous to enjoy in its youth, this has another twenty years ahead of it. Drink 2020-2038- 95

And just like that, Red Mountain has a new flagship wine. Just a little more complexity than the standard Col Solare. Depth of black fruit, heavy tannins, long life ahead
