Col Solare
Collector's Society Red Mountain Syrah
Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, Oregon/Washington, USA

Col Solare Winery Collector's Society Syrah 2022, Red Mountain, Washington State
Deep inky in color with a short purple/ reddish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, oak, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, chocolates, tar, light barnyard and black pepper.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, oak, licorice, earth, black tea, herbs, tar, light vegetables, peppercorn and barnyard.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Syrah from Red Mountain. Well balanced, rich and extracted. Powerful and spicy.
Still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already showing complexity. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.
A nice sipping wine that will also pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
A blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 18 months in (46% new) French oak barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$85.
