Popped and poured. The Clover Hill Rosé pours a pale salmon color that’s hardly discernible as rosé at first though, it does seem to deepen a bit with air. White peach, raspberries, pink lady apples, and minerals. The wine is round but attractive and there’s ample acid to provide balance. Paired very well with homemade chicken noodle soup.

If you haven’t yet discovered Tasmanian sparkling wine, do yourself a favour and get some in your glass stat!

Tassie has the perfect cooler climate for growing the likes of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are the typically grapes that go into sparking wines and Champagnes.

Firstly, thank you to Clover Hill for sending this sample of their Cuvée Rosé NV sample our way. We enjoyed it on the patio as an aperitif and it went down incredibly well.

It’s $34 a bottle however if you join the Clover Hill Club Prestige it’s only $27.2 plus you get a complimentary sparkling magnum (1.5L) with your first delivery 🍾🍾

In the glass it’s a pinky peach shade with notes of peppered strawberries 🍓 , fresh croissants 🥐 and grapefruit zest coming through on the nose for me. Red berries dominate the palate with an incredibly smooth texture and citrus driven finish. Highly addictive 😋

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

After tasting this Tasmanian Sparkling Non-Vintage Rosé, I can see why it has won a string of accolades. It’s so darn tasty!

Firstly thank you Clover Hill for sending this sample my way, it was very much appreciated - right down to the last drop.

It’s made up of 54% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir, 3% Pinot Meunier grapes and is made in the traditional method (just like champagne). It’s fermented in the bottle and is aged on its yeast lees for a minimum of 2 years before being released. It retails for $34.

In the glass it’s a peachy salmon colour with tiny fast streaming pink bubbles. On the nose I get a mix of black and red berries with some fresh pastry notes. While in the mouth those red berries (especially raspberries) flow through with some crunchy red apples, fresh citrus and a beautiful finish that leaves you wanting more. So good!

This Tasmanian sparkler was full of flavor and finesse. Perfect start to brunch in Sydney Opera House. Super find, I will seek out more.
