Closa Batllet
Gratallops Priorat Cariñena Blend
Plush ‘n plummy. Hints of warm chestnuts, cinnamon and mocca. Oaky influences on the nose, better integration on the palate. Alcohol is more in check now.
Very good plus.

Stunner! Whiff of Priorat right out of the bottle with that intense rich soil - dusty with stone & minerals interspersed with ripe red/black fruit, licorice and lifted herbal aromas. Inky w/absolutely no signs of age, drank broad across the palate with beautiful integrated & firm tannins and harmonious lengthy finish.

Purple color. Black fruit nose along cocoa, tar, wood. Alcohol and tannins well integrated. Nice round wine. Paired with figbread an St. Augur: fantastic combination. Brings the fruit in the wine above!

Goegwous deep red, great penetration and focus. Claret like and long. Hint of bitterness and salinity

Jan 22nd, 2016Zin moves outta da way. BIG black fruit. Needed 10 minutes to open even after decanting. The transition was fun and the wine was glorious at the end. . At $44 it is a bargain. I'll shop for this to have at home

Sep 24th, 2015Chocolate-coffee-chestnut-macerated black fruit on the nose. On the palate this is getting more and more elegant, which is good...
But.... Alcohol is the problem. Poking out, not integrating at all. Maybe tomorrow is a better day for this bottle?
