Clos Troteligotte
K Lys Cahors Malbec
Certainly different than the Argentinian Malbecs I've had. Pretty high toned floral nose. But showing some oxidative character on the palate.

Feb 12th, 2017A fine, well-structured, classy-style wine that matures in oak barrels, pleasantly blended with the fruit and the terroir. Very beautiful Cahors.
Beau vin de garde charpenté style classieux avec son élevage en fût de chêne, agréablement mêlé au fruit et terroir. Très beau Cahors.

A little bit of oak and chocolate on the nose, along with drak cherry. Very nice! The palate is well balanced with a strong acid backbone, a beautiful fruit shining all along, a good width with matter on the sides, a silky mouthfeel and nice caressing tannins, and a long finish with fruits and a little bit of an oaky touch in the end. Very well made, and a good tasting experience. I really like that!

Huge chalky blue fruit. Obviously huge tannins. Needs time, but what Cahors doesn't? Pretty good but how much better will this get?
