Jalape帽o/bell pepper, raspberry, chalk, underripe blood orange rind, medium tannins (leaning towards medium plus), dried herbs, slightly smoky, cherry on the finish and nice acid. Previous bottle could meld with chicken, not so much on this one. Will save to have with some meat tomorrow 馃榿

Had conjointly with a Poesia Malbec, so Interesting to contrast Malbecs made in different hemispheres- this had the juicier mid palate compared to the Mendoza expression-at 12% absolutely charming. Crushed red fruits, bay leaf.

Delicious Malbec for $16! Organically farmed, native yeast, yada yada. Structured and youthful, surprisingly light in its feet. Available soon on winelandia.com

Soft, easy, approachable Malbec with black cherry, prune, green herbs and ground chocolate. Good for near-term consumption.

Lovely style of Cahors; juicy yet firm enough. Just screams for rustic fare. Cassoulet perhaps?

I was expecting old-school Malbec but this is something more modern. The wine is very deep purple with a plum and pomegranate nose with hints of chocolate, sweet licorice, and. cherry. There is a hint of oxidation in the nose and at the tail end of the palate. Nicely framed by soft tannins, a nice change of pace from Argentina.
